10 Actors Who Would Kill It In The Dead By Daylight Movie

Dead by Daylight has had a number of collaborations with iconic movie franchises, but who knew the game would one day become a movie franchise as well? Of course we shouldn’t rush it, they’ve only just announced a film in the works, but with so many characters and unique killers, there’s so much potential here.

One of the best aspects of Dead by Daylight is the number of different characters and lore they bring to the story. With so many characters, it would be impossible to feature everyone in the film, but there are some fan favorites that everyone would love to see on screen. With that in mind, here are 10 actors who would kill it in the movie Dead by Daylight.

Jon Bernthal as David King

David King is undoubtedly one of the most popular male survivors, and the fact that there is a shirtless David in every other game shows that this is mainly because he fills the role of hot jock. From David’s lore page it appears that he is a tough guy who always got into fights and enjoyed spending time in the pub on his days off. Due to the fact that he is taking early retirement, we could assume that his character is meant to be a bit older.

With just one look at Jon Bernthal, it’s clear that he brings exactly the energy needed for a David King on screen. Based on other appearances by Bernthal like in The Punisher and The Walking Dead, it’s safe to say that he can easily act like the tough guy ready to throw hands. There’s also an uncanny resemblance between him and David King, so if anyone from that list actually makes it into the film, we really hope it’s Bernthal.

Kathryn Newton as Kate Denson

Kate Denson is every DBD fan’s favorite country girl, and she’s got some of the best cosmetics in play that showcase her love for music festivals and playing the guitar. While she can be girly with lots of flowing skirts and feminine colors, her tattooed sleeve and occasional rocker cosmetics also show she has an edge.

Based on Kathryn Newton’s performance in a variety of films including Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, we think she could perfectly portray our girly girl Kate, who also has a less tender side. There’s not much to say in Dead by Daylight when it comes to how the characters would react to a scary situation, but some characters like Kate just give off a vibe that they’re braver and more headstrong than the others.

Newton also looks like someone who won’t crack under pressure, which would only serve to bolster her performance as Kate.

Lana Condor as Feng Min

It wouldn’t be surprising if Feng Min was the main character of the DBD movie. Based on the number of cosmetics she gets, it certainly seems like she’s Behavior’s favorite. There is also a Feng Min in almost every match as fans love her for her cute style and innocent personality. She gives the impression of being the gamer girl who competes in tournaments and likes to cosplay, making her one of the most well-known survivors for gamers.

When thinking of Asian actresses who could accurately portray Feng Min, it was hard not to immediately jump to Lana Condor. She is young and has a sweet personality reminiscent of Feng. Likewise, we’ve all seen Condor bring a fashionable and preppy character to life in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, so she just needs to add a little geekiness to the mix and she would be the perfect feng.

Alex Wolff as Dwight Fairfield

Dwight Fairfield is a supermarket manager, and for all his assets, it’s clear he’s the guy who loves to be in charge. He literally has a perk called “leader,” so it’s only fitting that whoever portrays Dwight on screen should exude the strong personality of someone who wants to take control and keep tabs on all of their friends. Despite this, Dwight still doesn’t seem the bravest of the bunch, and his actor should be able to inject a certain vulnerability to explain that.

Alex Wolff is no stranger to the horror genre, and his performance in Hereditary showed us he’s great at playing fear. Likewise, Dwight Fairfield is the everyday guy, someone you could imagine knowing in real life and being friends with – all of which Alex Wolff effortlessly emulates. He’s someone you can easily picture in the supermarket uniform that Dwight is known to wear, and if you put glasses on his head and straightened his hair a bit, the two would be identical.

Sophia Lilis as Mikaela Reid

Mikaela Reid differs from other survivors because she is currently the only one who enjoys dabbling in witchcraft. The redhead loves palm reading and taking part in herbal spells, and she’s also a big fan of horror. Her interests also show in her looks as she always wears interesting runes and symbols along with the occasional witch costume.

Sophia Lillis has acted in quite a few dark films, from the two IT films to Gretel and Hansel. Lillis has thereby proven herself capable of acting among the supernatural, and it wouldn’t be her first time playing a witch either. She is also known for her curly red hair and blue eyes, which are synonymous with Mikaela at this point. Consider that Mikaela and Lillis both seem like the kind of girls who would stare at a monster without blinking, and there’s a clear winner ready to play the part.

Maya Hawke as Meg Thomas

Meg Thomas is the game’s athletic track star, with perks revolving around being fast and having tons of energy. While all of Meg’s dresses show that she prefers to dress comfortably, she has occasionally pulled off some boho and even glam looks. She also always has a worried expression on her face, showing her seriousness and motivation to survive.

Maya Hawke is best known for her portrayal of Robin in Stranger Things, which showcases her survival instincts and boundless energy. Hawke is also already sporting the comfy tomboy style that Meg does very well, so it wouldn’t be hard to picture her in the attire. She’s also not shy about taking on different roles, so all she needs is a comfortable and athletic style to be a great Meg.

Steven Yeun as Jake Park

Jake Park’s backstory mentions living alone in the woods for some time, and based on his “quiet mind” and “iron will” attributes, fans can assume Jake has a laid-back personality and probably won’t freak out after he was caught by the entity. Also known as a survival expert due to his time in the wild, he can certainly be clever when it comes to sabotaging the killer.

Our pick for the perfect actor to play is Steven Yeun. He has a lot of experience in the horror genre due to his time on The Walking Dead, and although he started out as a comic relief character, he showed in later seasons that he can pull out some serious acting skills. Given his easy-going personality and South Korean heritage, it’s not hard to imagine Yeun taking on the role of Jake Park and doing something incredible with it.

America Ferrera as Jane Romero

Jane Romero was the first female character in the game to have a different body type and all fans love her for it. Not only is she a taller girl but she also has great style as she is the first character to be allowed to wear thigh high boots. Considering she’s an actress, it only makes sense that she’s a bit more fashionable than her fellow survivors.

America Ferrera is known for her roles in Ugly Betty and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and she will also star in the upcoming Barbie movie. Also, her resemblance to Jane Romero is almost too great to imagine anyone else in the role. Ferrera has also never done horror, so this would be an interesting opportunity for the actress to potentially showcase her range and versatility.

Ever Gabo Anderson as Nea Karlsson

If Kate Denson is the girly rocker at DBD, then Nea Karlsson is the hardcore rocker. Aside from David King, Nea is probably one of the toughest characters to really sell that she’s a girl who grew up on the street. Her life wasn’t as easy as the other survivors either, as she immigrated to the States at a young age and is known for her street smarts.

In general, Gabo Anderson often plays the tough girl with a rebellious spirit, and that’s exactly why she would make the perfect Nea. Anderson is also the daughter of video game movie actress Milla Jovovich, so maybe Anderson could continue the trend. While Anderson might be a bit young right now when they start filming the movie, she would be just the right age for Nea.

Ayo Edebiri as Claudette Morel

Claudette Morel is the group’s botanist. She is hardworking, incredibly smart and dresses rather conservatively. Her knowledge of botany and natural sciences means that all of her benefits revolve around healing. When you load into a match and see a Claudette, there’s always an expectation of getting some quick heals…unless it’s a bad teammate who just heals themselves.

Ayo Edebiri is an aspiring actress to watch out for, especially after her exceptional performance in The Bear. While playing this role, she managed to strike a balance between being smart, caring, and strong, which is exactly the kind of character that fans would come to expect from Claudette. While none of the characters on DBD have confirmed ages, there is speculation from fans that Claudette could be a college student, and Edebiri falls into the same age bracket. She also likes to wear an apron, and Claudette’s apron from her official botanist outfit is one of her most memorable looks.
