£100,000-a-week target Newcastle want to move to London, West Ham are currently in talks

Based on Craig Hope of the Daily Mail, Lucas Digne is more interested in a move to London as West Ham and Newcastle target the Everton defender.

What is the story?

Well, this is a blow for Newcastle, but a boost for West Ham.

Hope to believe £100,000 a week people would rather move to the capital than to Tyneside.

Fabrizio Romano also claimed that Newcastle had no chance of signing the France international, who was available following the defeat to Rafa Benitez.

In addition to this news, it was also reported by Daily mail that West Ham have now opened talks with the 28-year-old.

However, Newcastle have also made their move – a bid of £22.5m has been submitted for the left-back, according to walkie talkie.

The Daily mail believe Chelsea are also monitoring the situation after Ben Chilwell was left out for the rest of the season.

West Ham or Newcastle for Lucas Digne?

In our opinion, this has to do with the Digne type of character.

At Newcastle, he risks losing his status as one of the Premier League’s best full-backs if the Warblers are relegated.

Of course, his bank balance will be boosted by the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF).

However, if he chooses to move to West Ham, Digne will be eligible for the Europa League Round of 32, as well as a veritable Champions League spot.

Admittedly, Newcastle could also push to those heights if they survive this season, which is probably why Kieran Trippier has agreed to join.
