The Ides of March is a date in the Roman Calendar and March 15 is the date that Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44 BC.

The Greek biographer and essayist Plutarch was reported revealed that Caesar was instructed to ‘be careful with the Ides of March’ by a toothpick, but he still attended the meeting in the Roman Senate.
