Mikel Arteta put his Arsenal players through their paces one last time on Friday ahead of this afternoon’s visit to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Arsenal welcome the Seagulls fresh after a 3-0 defeat by Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night.
The Spain coach has a number of injury problems ahead of the clash as Kieran Tierney, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Thomas Partey are all sidelined.
Victory is essential for a Gunners side fifth in the Premier League table and behind fourth-placed Tottenham, who play later that night, on goal difference.
An interesting photo from the London Colney session was that of Omari Hutchinson.
The 18-year-old has been an unused substitute in the Premier League five times this season and maybe – just maybe – Arteta will use him against Albion when he needs inspiration from the bench.

Let’s face it, Hutchinson could be needed off the bench.
Arsenal are 16th in the ‘big chances’ table this season, tied with Burnley in 32nd.
In other words, an attacking midfielder might be necessary for some creativity if Arteta’s side are struggling for a goal in the last 20 minutes or os.
More exciting than Saka?
And remember Hutchinson is a hugely exciting prospect, with Four Four Two commenting that people inside Arsenal think he’s “more exciting than Bukayo Saka”.
It’s only a matter of time before Arteta uses him and it will be interesting to see if the Arsenal manager needs him today.
