23-year-old arrested in connection with fatal shooting at Platinum Food Mart
The Louisville Metro Police Department has arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting in the Russell neighborhood in June. LMPD arrested 23-year-old JoJuanta Dickerson on Wednesday and charged him with murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. The shooting occurred June 26 in the 1000 block of W Broadway at the Platinum Food Mart. Police arrived at the scene and found Indrias Joseph, an employee of the store, dead from gunshot wounds. Court documents say Dickerson and Joseph had a verbal argument. An argument ensued before Dickerson shot him in the chest. Dickerson then fled the scene, according to court documents. Dickerson is scheduled to be arraigned in court at 9 a.m. Thursday
