After the disappointing reaction to the trip to the Super Bowl in 2019, San Francisco 49ers are going in the right direction.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan has a system that delivers big highs among lows. Of course, he offers a dynamic attacking style of play, but is matched by a focus on solid defense and high class.

At 8-6 years old this year and with Shanahan locked to 2025 on his current contract, the future seems set. There may have been some concern as the Niners were 2-3 and lost three in a row, but the outlook is much more positive with San Francisco now having one 80 percent chance qualified for the knockout round.

49ers Insider reviews Kyle Shanahan

ESPN 49ers reporter Nick Wagoner took a look at the store’s recent power rankings, and added some brief information on where the Niners and Shanahan are sitting.

“In fact, there is almost no chance for Shanahan to go anywhere after this season. But speaking absolutely about anything NFL-related doesn’t seem wise, so it’s the tiniest gap for something unforeseen. Shanahan has just signed a 6-year contract extension in 2020 that will take him until 2025.”

Even if San Francisco felt the urge to get rid of the 42-year-old head coach, buying his contract outright would be a nightmare. Shanahan’s transaction details are not public, but Grant Cohn of Sports Illustrated wrote that it was potentially about $10 million a year. Not a definite number, but even that loose estimate would mean paying him $40 million just to let him go. Not ideal.

Not only do the Niners need to drop off the map in the final three games of the season and miss out on the knockout stages, but they also have to do it in a way that the 49ers leader feels the need to eat that mass.

Wagoner also addressed the midfield situation that the 49ers and Shanahan are currently in. Jimmy Garoppolo is the current starter, while the third overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft of Trey Lance is backing him.

“But ultimately, Shanahan’s era will be defined by what happens in the coming years as he coaches and Trey Lance plays midfield. That duo will be given a chance to see how far they can go together.”

Jimmy G has been healthy for most of this year and has played well enough to reach their 49th spot. When he’s not intercepting, the 49ers are 7-0, which is possibly the most concise and significant indicator of his play. He doesn’t create enough to carry San Francisco on a daily basis, but when he eliminates mistakes, it’s hard to beat the Niners.

Meanwhile, Trey Lance worked like a bum with limited opportunities in Weeks 4 and 5. Going into the game against Jimmy G in the first week, he hit two touches as San Francisco lost to the Seattle Seahawks. . However, the initial fuss then ended quietly in a 17-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals when he threw for 192 yards, intercepted and had no touch, according to the numbers at Refer to professional football.
