A body was discovered in the vehicle at a Port Allen rest area, according to the sheriff’s office
PORT ALLEN, La. (BRPROUD) – On Sunday, February 12, a body was found in a vehicle at the Super Lucky Louie truck stop. Deputies from the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office discovered the body around 11 a.m. on Block 1200 of Highway 190.
According to the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, “Upon arrival, the deputies found that the vehicle in question was connected to a missing persons investigation being conducted by the Lafayette Township Sheriff’s Office.”
Investigators are still working to find out the name of the person found in the vehicle. How this person died at this time is not known.
The West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, the West Baton Rouge Coroner’s Office and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office are working together on this investigation. If you have any information that might help, please call the detectives at 225-343-9234.
