A fan created an Ocarina of Time themed Mario Kart track and we wish it was real
Nintendo, please create real Mario Kart tracks like this one.
Never underestimate the power of modders. They are often responsible for creating content that we wish to be official. Recently, RiazorMC showed off his Ocarina of Time Circuit on YouTube – a Zelda-style custom Mario Kart 8 track that features a race around Hyrule.
Anyone who has played Ocarina of Time will instantly fall in love with this custom track. I would even say it’s better than the Hyrule Circuit course that actually appears in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. That’s because the course is literally Hyrule from Ocarina of Time 3D with very few changes.
RiazorMC’s custom course begins with racers lined up at the Great Deku Tree. They travel through Kokiri Forest and into Hyrule Field. You will then turn right into the Gerudo Valley and Fortress. All known sights are available.
On lap two, the racers make their way back through the valley and slide across the river into Lake Hylia. Of course, there’s an underwater section here before heading back to Hyrule Field.
For the final lap, the racers head to Death Mountain via Kakariko Village. You navigate up the rocky terrain using antigravity and cross the finish line at the top of the mountain.
The only downside to this custom course is that the route doesn’t appear very clear as there is no defined path or path. A road to follow or even arrows pointing in the right direction would help the racers guide them.
RiazorMC is no stranger to modifying Nintendo content; his channel is full of fantastic ideas for other custom Mario Kart courses and other game crossovers, such as Pokemon Heart Gold in Super Mario Galaxy, which released last month.
You must watch the full video for his Ocarina of Time Circuit custom course which you can see below.
In other Mario Kart 8 Deluxe news, the fourth wave of the Booster Course Pass DLC arrives later this week.
