They don’t call him the King of Horror for nothing. Yes, a recently released horror film that the beloved best-selling American author “wishes” he wrote is wreaking havoc on the streaming charts right now. The picture in question? The 2022 survival thriller Fall, which managed to break the top 10 charts in 24 countries around the world – including the UK, US, India and Mexico – according to FlixPatrol.
King had this to say about the haunted thriller on Twitter late last year:
Produced, written and directed by British helmsman Scott Mann, Fall revolves around a couple of close friends (portrayed by Grace Caroline Currey and Virginia Gardner) trying to scale an abandoned 2,000-foot radio tower for shit and shit giggles Bloodshed. It’s a tight and supple story that quickly transitions from an entertaining adventure into a desperate struggle for survival.
Fall has a critical score of 79 percent on Rotten Tomatoes And a 79 percent audience rating, which is kind of creepy; It’s rare that both critics and regular Joes agree on movies these days, isn’t it? Still, such numbers bode well for anyone tempted to jump in and witness the horror of Fall.z
Box office-wise, Fall was a hit, grossing a respectable $21.8 million from a $3 million budget. What makes these numbers particularly impressive is that the film received a fairly limited theatrical release, launching digitally just a month after its theatrical debut.
Depending on your region, Fall is currently streaming on a number of different streaming platforms: Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Rakuten, iTunes, and Google. If you’re craving a solid thriller to while away the hours, it’s fair to say that Fall is an apt choice. But don’t just take our word for it, as the king himself confirms. What are you waiting for?
