Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer to the series, HBO’s The Last of Us spreads infectious excitement thanks to its accurate portrayal of the games and unique cinematic capture. As a result, many viewers are becoming more immersed in the zombie-like franchise, including Media Molecule artist Martin Nebelong.
In a recent Twitter post, Nebelong presents a reinterpretation of iconic scenes from The Last of Us episodes on the Dreams platform, a sequel that allows players to create their own games. In this debut, we see the time and effort that goes into the design process as he uses the system’s sculpting and shading tools to create a stunning Episode 2 image.
As a refresher, this scene occurs when Joel, Ellie, and Tess step out of the quarantine zone into the infected city that was also featured in The Last of Us video game.
Aside from this moving still, Martin recreated a moment from Episode 1 when the group encounters a person infected with the venomous Cordyceps. Nonetheless, we might see more of these creations from the talented artist in future episodes as he was inspired by Neil Druckmann’s universe and the TV adaptation.
With so many classic scenes from the franchise, there’s no doubt that Martin Nebelong can create the most diverse moments in Dreams, such as Bill’s arrival in Episode 3 or possibly the horrifying events in The Last of Us: Left Behind DLC. But for now, let’s get lost in the dystopian world of this Dreams recreation and HBO’s latest rendition.
