“A number” of people are fighting for their lives in hospital after being pulled from the lake

People have been left in critical condition after being pulled from a lake in Solihull today in freezing temperatures and conditions.

West Midlands Police have been called to the scene at Babbs Mill Park, Kingshurst, where several people were pulled from a lake and taken to hospital after a serious incident.

“They are believed to be in critical condition,” the force said.

The West Midlands Fire Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service are also on site.
