Abdel Ghadia, aka Slimy, is jailed after spending $700,000 in a bank account

A rapper has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for spending over $700,000 in cash that was accidentally deposited into his bank account.
Abdel Ghadia, 24, has pumped himself full of gold bars, clothes, currency and, oddly enough, makeup and is eligible for parole in October 2023.

Ghadia also did a $6235 shopping spree at Westfield Parramatta, including clothes from Uniqlo (pictured).
According to his social media profiles, Ghadia has released albums and performed in multiple venues.
A 2018 book about independent rappers described Ghadia as a humble young man who had a bright future in music as both an artist and a writer and vowed at the time to continue to support his musical journey.
“He has taken life’s obstacles and placed them in a frame that represents his years growing up in south-west Sydney,” it said.
“Through his catalog of music (sic) people will understand him as a person and what he aspires to.
“Whether he’s in front of the mic or behind the scenes writing for others, he’s going to be great.”
