According to police, a Pennsylvania teenager was fatally shot after he allegedly hit two police officers with a car

An 18-year-old Pennsylvania man was shot dead after he allegedly hit two state police officers with his car early Sunday, police said.
Police officers said they tried to contact Anthony Allegrini Jr. when he allegedly struck two of them after he “didn’t back down” on Sunday, the Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.
State police officers responded to Interstate 95 near Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia around 3:24 a.m. Sunday because of a report of “numerous vehicles and pedestrians illegally blocking the roadway,” according to a news release. Several cars were reportedly racing, causing “burnouts” and “drifts.” Several pedestrians watched.
Police said similar incidents had been reported Saturday night and they had also received reports of gunfire in the area.
Allegrini was in his car when police tried to contact him. Two soldiers were attacked when he “did not back down,” the press release said. Then a soldier fired his service pistol and hit Allegrini.
Philadelphia firefighters pronounced Allegrini dead at the scene.
The police officers who were allegedly attacked suffered minor injuries, the Pennsylvania Police Department said.
The freeway was closed to allow officers to conduct inquiries and reopened around 10am on Sunday. NBC Philly reported.
The Philadelphia State Police and Attorney’s Office are investigating.
