Black hole!

Amidst all the bigger and bombastic reveals taking place in the My Hero Academia anime season 6, it’s likely that fans have missed a key character face reveal.

In episode 137 of the hit Shonen series, disaster relief worker Thirteen was finally shown without a helmet. For those who forgot, she was originally introduced at the beginning of the series and has appeared sporadically ever since. Every instance in which she was introduced saw her dressed in a suit, but one that obscured her appearance or was angled in such a way that her face was not visible.

That all changed during a brief scene in the latest episode. As most fans probably guessed from her voice, she turned into a cute anime girl, although her hairstyle helps make her stand out a bit more. The roots are light blonde while the rest are a darker shade of blue or purple.

Although manga readers have been privy to this revelation for some time, it’s still the first instance where Thirteen’s face has been shown in full color and animated. It also takes them out of the club of anime characters whose faces are always teased but never revealed, with Kakashi from Naruto being the most notable of the bunch.

We’ll have to see what other revelations await in the final few episodes of My Hero Academia Season 6, which is available to stream with both subtitles and dubbing via Crunchyroll. For more information on the series, see one of the many related articles below.
