After Michael Cuisance failed a medical at Elland Road, Leeds submitted a £13.7million bid, according to Campana Super Deporte.

It was denied, and Victor Orta’s pursuit of the 28-year-old fell silent.

Now, however, it will be interesting to see if Leeds react after hearing that Atlético Madrid – one of the best teams in Europe – want Campana.

So far this season, the Seville-born maestro has scored two goals in 14 LaLiga appearances.

Leeds have a big chance to sign Crystal Palace rejection

We think Leeds could easily sign Campana if they rekindled their interest.

Last year Levante wanted too much money from Los Blancos – AS believe they were asking €30m (£25m) for their No.24.

But, AS Add that Campana has a relegation clause in his contract stating he must be loaned out in view of a permanent move.

As things stand, Levante are the bottom of La Liga, eight points from safety, so there’s a good chance they will be relegated.

Should they suffer the fall it would be a fantastic opportunity for Leeds.

Jesse Marsch could watch Campana while on loan before deciding if he wants to make the move permanent.

The only problem are Atlético Madrid and Simeone, who should offer Campana a chance to play Champions League football.

Keep an eye on this saga because anything can happen.
