Akbar V gets emotional with Kandi Burruss

A round of congratulations is in order for rapper Akbar V, who just found out that she has landed her first film role!

Akbar V received the good news from her cousin, Kandi Burruss

The 33-year-old rapper and reality TV star received the good news from her cousin, Kandi Burruss. The pair revealed they were related to social media users back in 2019 when Burruss called out Akbar on Instagram. And promoted the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta series she was in.

Burruss also appeared in an episode of the series.

Burruss revealed the good news to her cousin via Instagram Live

Burruss hopped to Instagram Live to share the good news with her cousin.

My agent sent you an audition and we sent you to a trainer… Akbar had an acting audition for a film. And you got the role!

Akbar V immediately got excited and started jumping up and down.

I have the part! I have the part!

The 33-year-old rapper then became emotional and started crying.

You have the role!

Burruss screamed, excited for her cousin. And then explained how proud she is of Akbar for “making changes” in her life.

As previously reported by The Shade Room, Akbar V entered TSR to share a life update with fans. And reveal that she was working on filming for a reality show.

What have you learned during your time – your different seasons? Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and will you ever do reality tv again?

The host, China Lovelace, asked the rapper and reality star.

If I was going to do reality TV again, I’d have to be there in some way, like [as] one of the producers who has to make a lot of decisions with it.
