It’s April Fool’s Day 2022 and internet users have already been tricked with some incredible pranks.
The music game Heardle “rolled” its players, former Tory minister Rory Stewart joked that he is the new Communications Director for Police No 10 and South Wales called His officers would start using skateboards.
The pranks don’t stop there, however. If you have an Alexa, you might have been tricked this morning by the cheeky virtual assistant with a very familiar voice…

Alexa pranks Rylan Clark
Alexa got in the April Fools mood today with a nifty prank of her own.
When you say good morning to Alexa today, you’ll be greeted by the voice of British TV presenter Rylan Clark.

Just say “Alexa, good morning” and instead of Alexa’s usual robotic greeting, you’ll hear Rylan say, “Morning, beautiful, it’s Rylan, and guess what, I hear say I’m the hot new voice of Alexa today.” .”
“Oh yeah. I’m in the cloud, I’m proud, better crank it up ’cause I’m getting loud,” he continues, replacing the robot’s usual facts of the day and weather update.
Then there’s a short pause before Alexa says, “April fools, I’ll be back tomorrow.”
TV presenter responds on Twitter
Rylan Clark took to Twitter to react to his Alexa gig, and it’s safe to say he’s enjoying being the virtual assistant’s new good morning voice.
“OMG. Try asking @alexa99 ‘Morning’. Can’t believe I’m the new voice of #RYLEXA !!!!! @AmazonUK ❤️❤️❤️,” wrote the 33-year-old.
“So folks, I’m so excited to announce, I can’t believe I’m saying this, that I, Rylan, am the new voice of Alexa. Original. Hashtag Rylexa is here,” he added in a video.
The TV presenter said: “I’ve worked so hard for this and I just can’t believe this has finally happened. You can try it yourself at home. You can say ‘Alexa, good morning’ and it’s me.”

Brits love the good morning trick
Brits across the country are hilariously amused by Alexa’s April Fool’s joke.
A person wrote: “Oh my god @Ryan I thought you were playing a prank on us, but it’s real. Love it, got a big smile on my face now Happy Friday😃❤️.”
“Congratulations Rylexa!!!👏🏼😂 Love it!” called Another.
A third person added: “That made my day❤️.”
Amazon even answered to Rylan’s tweet, which writes: “Chuffed for you. And we can work on the name…😜😘.”
