As expected from such an event, PlayStation’s February 2023 State of Play offered plenty of fun looks at upcoming titles. If you’re considering buying the PSVR2, a handful of VR titles might convince you to buy the new hardware.

Below is everything that was shown during the live stream that we didn’t cover during the show.

Green Hell VR

The survival game Green Hell will get a VR version later this year. Players must fend for themselves in a jungle teeming with tigers and crocodiles. You must build your own shelter and tools to solve the mystery of your wife’s disappearance that brought you to this place.

Green Hell VR will be released later this year.

Journey to the Foundation

Adapted from the Foundation series by legendary sci-fi author Isaac Asimov, in Journey to Foundation players will take on the task of tracking down Empire defectors trying to locate Hari Seldon’s Foundation. The Foundation was created when Seldon foresaw the collapse of the Empire many years ago and wanted to create a safe place for people to escape the possible consequences.

Journey to Foundation will be released in fall 2023.

Chia

Embark on Tchia’s island hopping adventure to save her father from the tyrant who has taken him hostage. The game offers many options for traversing the open world such as gliding, swimming, raft sailing and more. The game’s setting is based on the real island chain of New Caledonia.

Tchia will be released on March 21st for PC, PS4 and PS5 and will appear in the PlayStation Plus catalog on day one.

Goodbye volcanic high

Goodbye Volcano High features a group of anthropomorphic dinosaurs beginning their senior year of high school. Experience a cinematic coming-of-age narrative and try to figure out what’s next. Music will play a large role in the game, with many sections playing out as a rhythm game as the story unfolds.

Goodbye Volcano High is out on June 15th for PS4, PS5 and PC.

Baldur’s Gate 3

The next installment in the legendary RPG series has finally been fully revealed and packed with tons of gameplay. Journey through the forgotten realms and accept or resist the Mind Flayer parasite in your brain. Yield means gaining incredible power at a great price, or you can resist and use the powers to fight the darkness that threatens to take over you.

Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released on August 31st for PS5 and PC.

Described as a “free-to-play online multiplayer action role-playing game,” Wayfinder lets players explore, collect loot, and battle bosses as multiple different characters. The way the trailer talks about characters won’t be made by the players themselves. Instead, each Wayfinder sounds like its own character that you have to find/unlock yourself.

It’s unknown when Wayfinder will be released, but players can sign up now for a beta, which begins on February 28th.

street fighter 6

New gameplay for Street Fighter 6 introduced returning characters (and series regulars) Zengief and Cammy, as well as brand new character Lilly. Street Fighter 6 seems to be revamping older characters in all the right ways, so it’s Zangief and Cammy like you’ve never seen them before.

Street Fighter 6 will be released on June 2nd for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
