All server merge updates for Lost Ark

Although Lost Ark was a huge success, as with all MMORPGs, the initial excitement has waned somewhat, resulting in some servers not being filled as well as you would like. To counteract this, Smilegate and Amazon have decided to merge some servers to keep populations high – crucial for all that endgame content goodness that takes big teams to shine. Here you can find all server merge updates coming to Lost Ark in September 2022.

Lost Ark server merge patch notes for September 2022

We pulled the following information from the official Lost Ark September 2022 patch notes. Keep in mind that server merges can be complex, so they might not roll out exactly as expected.

The first round of server merges begins after the regularly scheduled downtime. To ensure players can reliably participate in world-specific content (field bosses, co-op sailing missions, guild content, etc.) across all servers, we plan to launch the first round of server mergers immediately after the September 28 update.

Server merges will be straightforward for players who have a character roster on one of the servers (they just need to log into the new server), but players who have a roster on both servers will have their rosters merged. If you are one of these players, you can find our plan for combining your rosters under the list of planned mergers.

Frequently asked questions about merging rosters

For players who have rosters on more than one server that merge together, here’s a plan for how we’ll handle items, progression, and rosters together. With some exceptions, most items and systems can be categorized according to the following guidelines:

Max – The items/system will be set to the highest value found on both rosters.

Min – The items/system will be set to the lowest value found on both rosters.

Sum – The values of both rosters are added together.

Union – The elements/system are merged, removing duplicates.

Reset – The system will be reconfigured to the default value.

With this key as a reference, let’s dive into how each system works.
