Plorts are used as resources for upgrades and equipment in Slime Rancher 2. However, they can also be sold in the Plort Market to earn Newbucks, which are used to purchase items for your conservatory, such as enclosures, gardens, and storage. The prices of each plort vary according to market prices and can go up or down depending on how many you sell each day.

Pink Cookies

The Pink Plort is one of the most common plorts on Rainbow Island. They can be harvested from Pink Slimes when fed fruit, veg, or meat, and can be found right in Rainbow Fields outside of the Conservatory.

Tabby Plort

The Tabby Plorts can be harvested from Tabby Slimes when fed their preferred meat diet. Located along the Rainbow Fields, the Tabby Slimes are another easy slime to find. Although worth more than the Cotton and Pink, the Tabby Plort is not an essential Plort to breed.

The Phosphor Plorts come from the brightly flying Phosphor Slimes. However, you will only find them on the island at night since they can only thrive in the dark. You can harvest their Phosphorus Plorts by feeding them any fruit.

The Angler Plort descends from the Angler Slime, which, while resembling the Anglerfish, does not require water to live. They stay near water from the Ember Valley but can be seen migrating away from it and around caves. You can acquire the Angler Plorts by feeding the Slimes Meat.

The Crystal Plort is similar to the Rock Plort, but is usually much more valuable. They can also be more dangerous to obtain, as the Crystal Slimes they descend from can do significant damage with their Crystal Spikes. You can find the Crystal Slimes in Ember Valley near caves and collect their plorts by feeding them vegetables.

The Fireplot can be a bit more difficult to collect as the slimes that contain it have a very peculiar diet. The fire slime live only in the steaming areas and lava pools of Emberdale. In order to harvest the fireplot, you need an incinerator with an ash trough in your conservatory. By tossing items you no longer need into the incinerator, you can generate ash below to feed your fire slime and collect their plorts.

Although Puddle Plorts are the polar opposite of Fire Plorts, they can be harvested from Puddle Slimes in a similar fashion. Puddle slime can only survive in watery pools and ponds around Ember Valley and Starlight Strand. Their food is simply the water they live in, which means you have to put them in a pond to collect their plorts.

Flutter Plorts is another more difficult Plort to acquire, but it can be worth farming for the Newbucks. They are collected by the Flutter Slimes, flying butterfly-like slimes in Starlight Strand. However, their diet consists only of nectar harvested from blue flowers that grow around Starlight Strand. To collect their plorts, you must find moondew nectar and feed it to them.

Hunter Plort

The shadowy Hunter Slimes are the innkeepers of the Hunter Plort. Although seemingly ferocious as they become invisible and pounce on their prey, the hunters are not overly dangerous. They are primarily found in Starlight Strand, and their plorts can be collected by feeding them meat.

You can collect their plorts by feeding them fruits, vegetables, or meat.

The Gold Plort is the rarest Plort on the island and the most valuable. Unlike other slimes, the Gold Slime that contains the Gold Plorts spawns randomly and can be found in every region. They are also the elusive slimes that only last for a brief moment before disappearing again. You must throw a random object at the gold slime as quickly as possible and release the plort before it disappears.
