Another year, another Call of Duty. But this time, COD fans are set to get a reboot of the iconic Modern Warfare 2. Fans who pre-ordered the game were able to experience the campaign a week before the game’s full launch. With that in mind, you may be curious as to who the voices behind the latest blockbuster entry in the mega-successful franchise are. This year’s Call of Duty is a direct sequel to the popular Modern Warfare (2019). Fan favorites like Captain Price make an epic return in another globetrotting adventure. But that’s not all, new operators like the leader of the Mexican Special Forces; Alejandro Vargas, join Task 141 in their campaign against terrorism. Players can expect to complete the campaign in 4 to 6 hours depending on their skill level and difficulty. Eagle-eyed players may even notice a variety of recalls and Easter eggs as they play through the campaign.

As is usual for the franchise, MW2 features voice and mocap talent from well-known actors from the gaming, television and film industries respectively. Warren Kole, who plays Philip Graves, was Rafe Adler on Uncharted 4 while Alain Mesa has spoken for various games like Red Dead Redemption 2, The Division, and Forza Horizon 5. Gamers might even recognize Rya Kihlstedt from her appearances in Home Alone 3, Deep Impact and the TV series Superman and Lois.

Of course, the entire cast of the 2019 title are reprising their roles. A breakout star of the reboot was Barry Sloane, who voices Captain John Price. Sloane is known for appearing in various British soap operas along with the drama. Revenge and Navy Seals.

Neil Ellice, who plays Price’s best friend; Soap has great acting performances, such as in Loki and the not-so-great miniseries Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. Ellice’s teammate Samuel Roukin (Ghost) also made his Marvel debut in Agents of Shield and also appeared in the Oscar-nominated Happy-Go-Lucky. Another random fact about Roukin is that he’s also a part-time DJ, which I think would be an interesting quirk for Ghost in the game.

Finally, there’s Elliot Knight, who portrays Gaz again in MW2 (2022). Knight made his acting debut on several popular shows, such as How to Get Away with Murder and HBO’s Titans. As you can see, the cast of Task 141 is no stranger to Hollywood.
