America’s Largest Bakery Chain Is Experiencing A Delay In This Important Upgrade – Eat This, Not That

Still, even with the latest setbacks in rolling out the new look, Subway is confident that remodeled restaurants will make a difference to its bottom line.

“It really helped us on the road to transformation,” says Rafferty. “People probably have an outdated picture of who we are and what we can be.”

Updates include the addition of new trim, LED lighting, floors, tables and chairs, all in lighter tones of green and white. Efforts to implement these changes have begun since 2017 but has been delayed due to the pandemic and it will take several more years for every subway in the US to roll out.
