“You can expect really, really high stakes, high-octane action that takes all three girls’ character arcs to a kind of climax… That’s my broad offering [the episode] that has all this bombastic action, giant anime robots and Circus Itano-Level stuff, but I think it’s really important not to lose sight of the story of the character in it. – Matt Braly, via The player.
Episode 18 will be 29 minutes long and is the second Amphibia episode, following last weekend’s All In, to premiere in the evening rather than in the traditional morning programming block.
Speak with screen rantBraly said that “All In” lasts about 48 minutes, even longer than a 44-minute episode. And “The Hardest Thing” lasts about 29 minutes, making it a lot longer than a 22-minute episode. You put those two together and you get the series finale right there.”
“And when it comes to these two episodes, the team has put so much love and care and effort into these stories and their execution. I’m still working on it and I’m blown away by the level of animation and the performance of the voice actors. They really are something special and I’m very proud of them. I can’t wait for people to see the escalation and ending of these three seasons.” — Matt Braly, via screen rant.

The Creator talks about what’s next after Amphibia season 3
Unfortunately, Season 3 of Amphibia will be the final installment in the hit series, but there’s a small chance the show’s characters could return in some sort of spin-off title. Speak with The wrapBraly said he’d be “more than happy to revisit it if it makes sense where we’re leaving the characters at the end of Season 3.”
“I can’t go into detail about all that stuff, of course, but as long as it keeps the spirit of that stuff intact, I have no problem. If Disney ever wants to do shorts or little spinoffs, I’m great at that stuff. I love comics, I love books. I’d love to do book art, that’s my next pitch that I’ll try to get off the ground.” — Matt Braly, above The wrap.
However, Braly also has his sights set on the next project, which he claimed to Screen Rant could be a limited series or even a theatrical film, because “like any creative, I have a million ideas and I search within myself who from.” they call out to me the loudest.”
“It’s a really exciting time for animation. I think a lot of people are pushing the medium in really exciting ways. Without going into specifics, I’d really like to try a limited series or movie; something more epic and grand because I had so much fun doing these big, dramatic episodes of Amphibia. Whether it’s “True Colors” or our finale pairing “All In” and “The Hardest Thing” for Season 3, it’s been a pleasure to work on. I think I’ve found that I really love this space.” — Matt Braly, via screen rant.
