NEWS BEGINNING: A LOOK AT OUR THURSDAY MORNING WITH VERY WARM AND STUMMY CONDITIONS. AT ALI INTERNATIONAL, WE’RE STILL OFFICIALLY AT 81, AFTER HIGHING 96 YESTERDAY, WHICH WAS THE HOTTEST THIS SUMMER YET. I think it will be hotter today. The humidity is extremely high there, it’s steaming out there. IT IS A TROPICAL HUMIDITY WITH 13 MPH SOUTH AND SOUTHWEST BREEZES. THIS 81 FEELS LIKE 86 ALREADY. NOW THE 81 IS A RIPPER ON THE HIGH SIDE TO START THE MORNINGS COMFORTABLY FROM THE AIRPORT, THE METRO SUBURBS AND OUTSIDE LOUISVILLE, ALL IN THE 70’S SOMETHING. LITCHFIELD AND CAMPBELLSVILLE AT 70 TO 77 DEGREES. AND SEYMOUR, INDIANA. But we all feel the sweltering conditions out there. THIS MOISTURE IS RETURNED OVERNIGHT. Storms in our north and east as far as Ohio. And while they appear to be moving in our direction, they are currently, but most indications are that this will moderate and become more of a left or southerly turn of sorts over the next few hours towards eastern Kentucky. I BELIEVE WE WILL SEE A LITTLE CLOUD COVER LATE MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON TODAY. Therefore we will be partially sunny in the midday hour. BUT CHECK THE TEMPERATURES STILL NEAR 90 DEGREES. IT WILL BE HOT AND HUMID WHEN WE REACH 97. WE WILL ACTUALLY THIN THE CLOUDS. Later in the day you can experience some more sun. AND ADJUSTING THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY, IT COULD FEEL CLOSER TO 110 DEGREES TODAY. AND WE’RE STAYING VERY WARM AND LEGGED TONIGHT. AFTER SUNSET WE’RE STILL IN THE TOP 80’S DUE TO THE COMBINATION OF HEAT AND HUMIDITY. TODAY AND TOMORROW, MAJOR WLKY REGION INCLUDING THE SUBWAY HAVE OVERHEATING WARNINGS APPLYING. WE WILL BE WATCHING FUTURECAST BECAUSE I WANT YOU TO NOTE THERE ARE THE showers and storms that we have on our radars in the north and east right now. Note, however, that these tend to dip south and generally stay east of Interstate 75. However, there will be some cloud cover in the late morning and first half of the afternoon. So we’ll cast some shade and maybe keep temperatures a degree or two cooler, especially in the East. But overall, there will still be plenty of heat and humidity in our skies through the end of the week. MORNING. Also, the whole area looks pretty calm and hot. ONLY FROM FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY WILL WE SEE SOME COOLER CHANGES IN OUR DIRECTION. TODAY 97, TOMORROW EXACTLY 99, THE WEATHER WILL BE PERFORMED BY THE SUPERHEAT WARNINGS THAT FOR THE NEXT TWO DAYS IT WILL FEEL NEAR 110 DEGREES. These isolated shower and storm chances will bring a beneficial downpour to courtyards and gardens in parts of the area. NOT FOR EVERYONE. BUT NOTE THE TEMPERATURES WE HAVE FROM THE UPPER 90°C TO THE LOWER 90°C. SATURDAY MORE PLEASANT IN THE 80S. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were dry in the upper 80’s, humidity was also lower.
