Ramona Singer announced last week that she was moving away from The Real Housewives of New York City, and that season 13 would be her last on the show.
The original RHONY star said yes in a statement page six that after an impressive 13 seasons on screen, she was “no longer” interested in doing the show. “It’s not for me right now,” she shared. However, the publication also reported that sources told them Singer had not been offered a spot on the RHONY “Legacy” show, which would feature previous fan favorites returning to the franchise. The RHONY main show, on the other hand, has been completely rebooted with an all-new cast.
After Singer announced her departure from the show, Bravo boss Andy Cohen responded to the news and fan reaction that she would not be on RHONY “Legacy”.

During his Sirius XM radio show on Wednesday, November 16th, “Radio Andy‘ Andy Cohen appeared to shadow fans who have called for Singer’s sacking and are now mourning her departure. The RHONY star has divided fans for quite some time as she has often come under fire for making controversial comments.
“I think that was kind of — I think people saw that coming,” he shared. “It’s interesting, [it’s] One of those hilarious things about the internet is that every time it was mentioned it was, ‘Please, no, Ramona,'” he said, meaning fans were begging for Singer not to be included in the cast. “You go on Twitter, ‘Get going on Ramona! No Ramona!” Cohen added.
He continued by saying that as soon as Singer announced her departure, the reaction was, “‘No, Ramona is a legend!’ Like, it’s so funny. Its so funny.”

While his radio show, Cohen praised the former housewife for her time at RHONY, noting that Singer gave “amazing, incredible, incredible years of television.” The Bravo star has been a main cast member of RHONY for 13 seasons since it premiered in 2008.
Explaining that the pair recently spoke about their time at RHONY, he added: “I think she’s very optimistic about what she’s planning to do with her life right now, let me say that. I’ll leave it there.”
Singer has offered some criticism since announcing the Legacy spinoff, including arguing that the cast will be filled with people the network hasn’t previously considered refreshing. On the “reality with the king‘ Singer said the show should be called the ‘Loser’ show to reflect that.
The cast of the “Legacy” show has not yet been announced, however page six reported that the network was hoping to cast Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan and alums Kelly Bensimon, Jill Zarin and Dorinda Medley, with other names still up in the air.
