Andy Cohen reflects on Jen Shah’s future in The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
The reality star pleaded guilty to conspiracy to wire fraud and money laundering in July 2022, just days before her fraud trial was due to begin. Her sentencing – which could see her behind bars for up to 30 years – was postponed several times but was finally set for December 15, 2022. Lute! news.
While it’s not clear exactly what Shah’s sentence will be – or if she will go to jail – Cohen is weighing what he thinks will happen in the coming weeks.
Here’s what you need to know:
Cohen doesn’t think Shah will be in Season 4 of RHOSLC
in the an interview with Us WeeklyCohen stated that he didn’t think Shah would continue with the show.
“She’s sentenced on December 15, so I don’t know what to say to people who want her on the show,” he told the outlet. “I hope she doesn’t get jail time at all and can come right back…but I have a feeling she won’t be available for the show,” he added.
Cohen went on to say that the potential 30-year sentence Shah faces is “a long time”. And for those who have said they want to see Shah continue in Season 4, he admits it’s not his fault. “Talk to the judge,” Cohen said.
This isn’t the first time Cohen has spoken about Shah’s RHOSLC future, either. At BravoCon 2022, Cohen appeared to make it clear that Shah was done with Bravo because of what was revealed in her legal case.
“Once we did diaper changing [and] She pleaded guilty, I think unfortunately that was the end of the engagement there,” he said during the Ask Andy panel, which took place on Sunday, October 16, 2022. “But I hope you sit down with her and talk to her on camera at some point because I have a lot of questions for her,” he added.
Shah may not think she’s going to jail
Interestingly, something else happened at BravoCon 2022 that made some fans think Shah might not go to jail. Shah showed up at the convention – uninvited – and actually chatted with “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Tamra Judge.
in the an interview with Access Hollywood’s “Housewives Nightcap”, The judge said Shah showed up to her hotel room with some news.
“It was a little crazy. Said she’s not going to jail and it’s all good,” Judge shared. The judge went on to say that she believes Shah tried to “crash” the recording of “Watch What Happens Live” to convey that it was “not going anywhere.”
Meanwhile, Shah had a different take on what had happened. tweet that she “was paid for Bravocon”. Shah has said nothing publicly about the case or her upcoming sentencing.
Shah has been with RHOSLC since season one.
