Angela Dawn Flores is a Los Angeles, California mother accused of murdering her three children on Mother’s Day with the “help” of a 16-year-old boy.
“The children’s mother, 38-year-old Angela Flores, and a 16-year-old subject have been arrested for further investigation. During subsequent investigations, Flores admitted to killing her children with the help of the 16-year-old subject.” a press release claimed by the Los Angeles Police Department. The New York Post reported that the teenager is also the son of Flores.
The cause of death and motive are still unclear. The children were a 12-year-old girl and two 8-year-old boys, according to KTLA. CBS News identified the kids as Natalie Flores, 12, Kevin Yanez, 10, and Nathan Yanez, 8.

1. Three children aged 8 to 12 were found dead
On May 8, 2022, at approximately 7:40 a.m., patrol officers from the Topanga Division of the Los Angeles Police Department “received a pager to respond to an 911 call alleging an assault with a deadly weapon as a suspect at an apartment building on the 22500 block of the Los Angeles Police Department.” Victory Blvd,” the Los Angeles Police Department wrote in a press release.
“Officials arrived at the scene and found three youths, aged between 8 and 12, unresponsive. Paramedics from the Los Angeles City Fire Department were called to the scene and determined that all three children were deceased.”
Flores “was arrested and charged in Van Nuys prison with three counts of 187(a) PC, murder. Flores is being held on $6,000,000 bail. The 16-year-old subject was arrested on one count of 187(a) PC, murder, and is being held without bail at Sylmar Juvenile Hall,” the press release said.
“This case will be submitted to the Los Angeles Attorney’s Office for review,” police wrote. “Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to call the Battered Children Unit, Juvenile Division at (213) 486-0500 from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Outside of business hours or on weekends, calls should be forwarded to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (877-527-3247).”
2. A neighbor heard a woman scream with a candle and a Bible
A neighbor told KTLA-TV that she “heard a woman screaming while holding a candle and a Bible on Saturday night.”
“I thought she was just in the wrong place… mentally unwell but she ended up living two houses down from us,” neighbor Pricila Canales told the TV station.
Another neighbor told the TV station: “I just saw her out here, you know. You have the nicest house on the block. They looked like really nice people. No reason to suspect anything.”
CBS News reported that the mother “heard screaming, yelling, praying and lighting candles in other houses on the street.”
The Toronto Sun reported that she also said, “My family abuses me.”
3. Flores self-described as a “Curvy/Plus Model” & Digital Creator
On FacebookFlores describes himself as a “Member of Los Angeles Photographers since October 28, 2021” and a “Digital Creator”.
In December 2021, she described herself as a “Curvy/Plus model new to LA looking for collaboration. 5’8″ size 12/14.”

4. Flores is a mother of seven children
According to The New York Post, Flores is a mother of seven children.
CBS News reports that the three children had been dead for some time. CBS News reported that the two boys attended Ivy Charter.
Three of Flores’ seven children live with their father in another state. according to Fox News.
5. Prosecutors call the children’s deaths “truly appalling and tragic”
“The death of these three children is truly appalling and tragic. As a parent and grandparent, I send my heartfelt condolences to the people they love,” District Attorney George Gascon said in a statement released through his office to Fox News. “We will continue to work with Los Angeles Police Department detectives, and my prosecutors will make a filing decision once they have reviewed all of the evidence.”
