Angela Simons was reportedly emotional while testifying in court at the sentencing of her ex-fiancé’s killer. Michael Williams. Sutton Tennyson was murdered by Michael in November 2018 at the age of 37, leaving behind Angela, 34, and their 5-year-old son, who also bears his name sutton. At the April 15 court hearing, Angela tearfully revealed in her testimony that her son “keeps asking” when her late fiancé “will be back.” TMZ.

That Growing up hip hop Reality star also said she cries “all the time” about how excited Sutton Sr. was raising her son before his death. Angela went on to add in her statement that her son will “carry on” his father’s legacy, per TMZ.

Angela spoke shortly before Michael’s sentencing. The convicted killer received life in prison for the murder of Sutton, plus an additional 15 years for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon TMZ. He is reportedly eligible for parole after serving at least 30 years in prison.

Sutton was found dead by police in his garage on November 3, 2018, from multiple gunshot wounds. He reportedly had an argument with a man in his driveway. A few days later, Michael turned himself in to the Atlanta Police Department and was charged with murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm while committing a felony. Michael denied all allegations.

Angela, the rapper’s daughter Rev. LaufShe became engaged to Sutton in 2016 before splitting the next year. Despite their split, Angela still had nothing but love for her ex-fiancé after his tragic death. “Thank you for leaving my greatest gift,” she told him in a heartfelt Instagram post. “I have pain. I am deaf impaired. Thank you for the outpouring of love to everyone. I can’t believe I’m even saying RIP Sutton. I promise to hold SJ down any way I can.”
