After spending time in the flood-ravaged waters of Pakistan as a special envoy for UNHCR, the UN refugee agency, Angelina Jolie is back home in Los Angeles spending time with her children.
And on Saturday, the acclaimed actress-director had a face-to-face meeting with daughter Vivienne, 14, which included a stop to get groceries at a Gelson’s Market in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles.
The Oscar winner appeared to be doing business on her phone on the short walk from her parked vehicle to the store.

Just a few weeks ago, Jolie was able to witness the devastating floods in Pakistan up close, meeting some of the people affected by the disaster.
A week later, she took to her Instagram page and shared some photos taken during her time visiting disaster sites with @rescueorg and local organizations.
After Jolie shared how “severe floods submerged 1/3 of the country,” Jolie revealed more heartbreaking stats.
Making a difference: After visiting Pakistan’s flood-stricken regions in September, Jolie urged her supporters to be aware of the situation and urged their governments to “understand that the lack of fair trade, rising emissions and the… Failure to resolve conflicts is causing death and suffering to millions of families around the world
“33 million people have been affected and over 6 million are in need of emergency humanitarian assistance,” she wrote, before adding, “Pakistan is also still home to over a million Afghan refugees who cannot safely return due to the current situation. Those I was able to reach were still in shock at having fled the Taliban and now knowing that the country they fled to is in an emergency.”
She implored her 13.8 million Instagram fans and followers to “please keep track of what’s happening” and urged them to “urge governments to understand that rising emissions, the failure to deal with conflict and the lack of… fair trade cause more death and suffering for millions of families around the world.’
After years of dedicated service as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, Jolie was appointed Special Envoy in April 2012. In her expanded role, she was given the authority to represent Guterres and UNHCR at the diplomatic level, with a focus on major refugee crises.
