That’s because the 28-year-old’s contract expired in Turin this summer and he will therefore be available on a Bosman.
There won’t be many more high-profile free transfers in European football this summer, so Arsenal and other interested parties can expect much more competition in the coming weeks and months.
North Londoners desperately need someone like Dybala.
Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah will both leave the Emirates when their contracts expire in June, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang already out.
Folarin Balogun, currently on loan at Middlesbrough, could be Arsenal’s only recognized number nine in a couple of months – and he’s only 20.
That sums up Mikel Arteta and Edu’s need for additional killers, and time will tell if the Dybala stuff has substance.
In other news, Tottenham, Newcastle, Rangers and West Ham Target said he will not play for the current club again
