Arsenal’s ‘top player’ urged to leave the club amid rumours

Barry Ferguson has said Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney should join Real Madrid if given the chance, as quoted in Soccer Scotland.

The Sunday Post reported over the weekend that Spanish and European giants Madrid are keen to sign Tierney from Premier League club Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

Madrid are reportedly planning to place a £50million bid for the 24-year-old former Celtic star, who can also operate in a back three.

Former Rangers star and Scot Ferguson believes that if Tierney gets the chance to join Madrid, he should do it.

said Ferguson on the go radio football show, as transcribed from Football Scotland: “I think it’s cheap. If I’m being honest with you, it’s £50m. He just signed a new long-term contract.

“But I’m not surprised. I think when a club like Real Madrid calls you have to seriously think about it or talk to them.

“I’m not the least bit surprised. In Thursday’s game against Scotland he excelled – not just scoring the goal, but scoring it.

“He’s a top player. He was a very good player when he left Celtic for Arsenal. I think he’s become a top player since playing in the Premier League.”

Arsenal shouldn’t sell Kieran Tierney to Real Madrid

We think Arsenal should do whatever they can to keep Tierney, especially if they finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.

Tierney has gone from strength to strength at Arsenal and as he is now 24 we can say with certainty that he will only continue to improve and develop.

Now, of course, Madrid are a huge club, arguably the biggest in the world, but Arsenal are a global brand and shouldn’t let Tierney go without a fight.
