Rob Holding is something of an unsung hero at Arsenal these days.

With Gabriel and Ben White fit for most of the season, the former Bolton Wanderers defender was a spectator for much of the season.

But when he’s played for Arsenal – particularly in the Premier League – the retention has been immense.

The only reason Holding played last week was because White was injured.

Therefore, it is likely that the Spanish manager will ax holding despite his exploits over the past week.

As good as Holding seems to be under Arteta, White and Gabriel are a tried and tested partnership in the Premier League and with Champions League qualifying at stake the Arsenal boss will be playing the percentages and sticking to what he did against United knows and loves.
