This could be Ash and Pikachu’s last dance.

Pokemon Twitter account just made a seismic announcement that will surprise all Pokemon fans: Ash and Pikachu are concluding their Pokemon Ultimate Journeys: The Series storyline with an 11-episode season.

After 25 seasons of Ash and his inseparable Pikachu battling all types of Pokémon, this will be their last dance, and after Ash became the Ultimate World Champion last monththere aren’t many places left to go with the character.

Ash and Pikachu debuted in the 1997 TV series Pokemon and have been entertaining fans from both the TV show and the video games ever since, so this latest adventure is likely to be a tear-drop for many generations of Pokemon fans.

As if that wasn’t enough big news, Pokemon also announced that there will be a new show with new characters. For now, they have only revealed that the series will have two new characters: a girl in a blue coat and a red-haired boy with a cap, as well as three Paldea starter Pokémon: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly.

Fans are already speculating about the identities of the new protagonists and specifically whether the girl could be related to Ash in any way. because of their looks. All of these questions will be answered once the show airs.

The final chapters of Pokemon Ultimate Journeys: The Series, ending the story of Ash and Pikachu, will be released in Japan on January 13, 2023 and will consist of 11 episodes. The new show doesn’t have a title or release date yet, but it’s also likely to debut in 2023.
