Ashley Hernandez DeJesus – Bristol Girl Homicide Case

Ashley Hernandez-DeJesus and Rocky Hernandez-DeJesus have been arrested in connection with the death of a four-year-old girl in June.

Ashley and Rocky, from New Britain, were taken into custody on Tuesday 27 December.

The two New Britain residents have been charged with multiple counts including manslaughter, injuring a minor and making false statements.

The suspects are due to appear in court on Wednesday. More information will be released as the investigation progresses.

A man and woman from 873 East St., New Britain, are being arrested in connection with the death of a four-year-old in June.

Those arrested are 28-year-old Ashley Hernandez-DeJesus and 31-year-old Rocky Hernandez-DeJesus.

The suspects were arrested in New Britain and taken to the Bristol Police Department.

The pair face a range of charges including manslaughter, according to Bristol Police.

They were charged with first-degree manslaughter, willful cruelty to persons, unlawful restraint first-degree, risk of harming a minor and conspiracy to commit risk of harming a minor.

Rocky Hernandez-DeJesus is also facing additional charges for making a false statement to the police.

Bristol Police said the duo have been charged following an inquest into the death of a 4-year-old girl in June.

However, they did not elaborate further. They said they would not reveal the identity of the victim girl.

Ashley and Rocky Hernandez-DeJesus are listed as residing at the same address in New Britain. WFSB reports that they are a married couple.

However, the authorities did not provide any information on the relationship between the suspects and the killed child.

Although released on $250,000 in cash/bail bonds, they are scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, December 28th.

Girl’s manslaughter case in Bristol: what’s next?

Rocky Hernandez-DeJesus, 31, and Ashley Hernandez-DeJesus, 28, of East Street, New Britain, are now in custody.

They were arrested at a location in the city with warrants linked to the death of a little girl in June, public information officer Lt. Geoffrey Lund of the Bristol Police Department.

“Events leading to the death are believed to have taken place in Bristol,” Lund said.

He also stated that the investigation began in June but did not say much about the child’s identity, how he died or his connection to the suspects.

Bristol Police, with the support of local police, made the arrests.

Bristol authorities obtained warrants for the arrests of Ashley and Rocky, which were served in New Britain on Tuesday with the help of the New Britain Criminal Investigations Division.

The New Britain couple will now face a judge at the New Britain Superior Court in New Britain on Wednesday December 28.

Ashley Hernandez-DeJesus was charged with first-degree manslaughter, first-degree unlawful restraint, willful cruelty to persons, risk of harming a minor and conspiracy to commit risk of harming a minor.

Rocky Hernandez-DeJesus was charged with first-degree manslaughter, first-degree wrongful restraint, willful cruelty to persons, risk of harming a minor, conspiracy to commit risk of harming a minor, and false testimony.
