Leicester City are now entering the race for PSV Eindhoven star Ibrahim Sangare, who is linked with both Aston Villa and Newcastle United.

That’s according to The Sunwho claim Leicester are turning to Sangare as they seek a vital addition to midfield.

Youri Tielemans’ future is unclear and Leicester are apparently looking to add another midfielder to Wilfried Ndidi and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Leicester now appear to be focused on Sangare and that doesn’t come as a huge shock.

Leicester met PSV Eindhoven in the Europa Conference League quarter-finals, meaning they’ve seen Sangare firsthand.

Brendan Rodgers seemed impressed with Sangare and Leicester could now start his move.

However, PSV are understood to be asking a whopping £30million fee for Sangare.

Talks are ongoing but Leicester will have to dig deep if they want to bring the Ivorian to the King Power Stadium.

Hailed as “unstoppable” by PSV boss Roger SchmidtSangare has made a huge impact at PSV since arriving from Toulouse in 2020.

At 6ft 3in tall, Sangare is a strong midfielder with impressive defensive skills and is best suited in front of the back four.

Voetbal International reports Earlier this month that Aston Villa are interested in signing Sangare this summer.

Steven Gerrard is desperate for a new midfielder and Sangare could be the man.

That would mean another fight between Rodgers and Gerrard after the pair battled with Celtic and Rangers.

That VI report added that Newcastle had shown a concrete interest in Sangare back in January.

Newcastle could therefore return for Sangare this summer, meaning there could be a three-way battle for his signature.
