Atlanta rapper Cash Out is accused of using his celebrity status to lure women into prostitution in Atlanta, Georgia, along with a host of other crimes.
His real name is John Michael Hakeem Gibson. According to WRDW-TV, he faces “multiple charges of rape, sex trafficking and seducing women into prostitution.”
Heavy has contacted the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office for the full indictment and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department for more details. Known for his 2010s hits, Cash Out appeared on Uncut Gems with Adam Sandler. His song “Cashin’ Out” has more than 13 million views on YouTube.
“He’s a very talented musical actor. Unfortunately, he didn’t stay in that business and switched to the business in which he is accused,” Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis told WSB-TV.

Cash Out is accused of using a company to lure women into sexual activity
TMZ reports that Cash Out and five others have been charged by Willis in Georgia on a 41-count indictment that includes “allegations of rape, aggravated sodomy, human trafficking” and “holding victims at gunpoint.”
According to TMZ, he faces 25 years to life imprisonment and is accused of using his “celebrity status and social media” to “bait” women.
According to WRDW-TV, the indictment charges Gibson and four others with using Pyrez Music Group LLC to “coerce, entice and recruit young women to engage in commercial sexual activity.” The women thought they would be given “greater power and status within the company,” the TV network reported. It listed the other defendants as follows:
Linda Smith aka Morenika Vinie and “Mama Cash Out”
Kierra Daniele Adams aka “Boots”
Tyrone Orlando Taylor aka “Rooskie”
Demetrius Lamont Edwards aka “Drama”
“The most disturbing aspect of this case is that women in our community have been harassed and brutalized by people who have had a chance to do something different with their lives,” Willis told WSB-TV.
Gibson has a criminal record
It’s not Gibson’s first run-in with the law. The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office has pre-orders for him as of 2019 for everything from sex trafficking to pimping to aggravated bestiality and rape.
In the current indictment, Fulton County Assistant District Attorney Earnell Winfrey told WSB-TV that authorities rescued two women.
“Some of these women are our most vulnerable women and he would lure them in, make them think he cared and that he would care, only to flip the script and then start pimping them,” she said TV channel.
“He is accused of … flogging a young lady who is a sex worker and this was one of the girls he recruited,” Winfrey told WSB.
WTVM reported that prosecutors are calling Cash Out a “poster child” of the criminal enterprise.
Born in 1990, John-Michael Hakim Gibson is better known by his stage name Cash Out (stylized Ca$h Out), according to PeoplePill.com. He is from Columbus, Georgia but grew up in Atlanta, the website reports.
In 2014 he debuted with the album Let’s Get It. Among his achievements is the single “She Twerkin”.
