Aussie attacks Woolworths over a very annoying new feature

A disgruntled Woolworths customer has slammed its new parking spaces reserved for eco-friendly vehicles as “discriminatory”.
Melbourne-based photographer Matt Lawson shared a video of the green parking spaces at Woolworths in Mernda city centre, north of the city, on Sunday.
In the video, Mr Lawson showed a Woolworths sign in front of parking spaces marked green.
The sign reads: “Reserved parking space. Only low-emission, fuel-efficient vehicles.”
It then lists the cars that are eligible to park in the lots, including cars that drive five liters or less per 100km, as well as hybrid and electric cars.

“I just stumbled upon this new level of alertness,” Mr Lawson said in the clip.
“Reserve parking, low-emission and fuel-efficient vehicles only with Woolworths.
“They have green spaces. So when it’s busy here, you can only park on the green areas if you meet these criteria.
‘That’s crazy.’
He captioned the short video: “Discrimination at a parking level. This is “wake” on steroids. My poor little 7.1/100km Captiva was badly hurt and will need counseling.’

More than 1,000 people commented on the video, many slamming the reserved parks.
“I would park my 32-year-old 80-series diesel there in a heartbeat,” said one.
“We will all be shopping at Coles,” wrote another.
“Now I’m a wheelchair user who can’t push myself into the chair, can’t afford the electric chair and rarely find enough handicapped parking,” said a third person.
“No more Woolies shopping for me,” commented another.
A fifth said: “It’s a public car park, I park where I want.”
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Woolworths for comment.
