Aussie siblings are having ‘best weekend ever’ after watching Saints win
Ayden and Ruby Hewitt live in the Dundas Valley near Parramatta in Sydney with their mother Lisa and father Phil who was born in Parr before emigrating in 2008.
Phil, who used to play for the Blackbrook Royals, is a huge Saints fan and has raised his three children – Ayden, nine, and Ruby, seven, and their older sister Gabby, 20, who lives in St Helens – to be part of the team love.
So when the opportunity arose to see the team in Sydney, he jumped at the chance to see them live.

His wife Lisa said: “Gabby and her partner James are season ticket holders and are sending us pictures and videos of all the games.
“The kids love to see her and always ask for our phones to see what she sent.

“And they were lucky enough to witness history being made on Saturday.
“Their first Saints match was certainly one to remember and we also Facetimed Gabby during the game.
“It was an amazing experience, they couldn’t stop smiling, singing and singing! Both of them thanked Phil and I the next day and the day after that and said it was the best weekend ever.
“Matty Lees also gave Ruby his shoes after the game.”
The siblings were even lucky enough to hold the trophy and check after the game at Penrith League Club.
Mum-of-two Lisa added: “Phil has been hanging out with friends he hasn’t seen in years. It was certainly a night we will never forget!”
