Bachelor & Bachelorette ‘Celebrity Family Feud’ Air Date Announced

Fans of “The Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” have been waiting to see their favorite couples and singles go head-to-head on the celebrity version of the long-running game show Family Feud. The air date for the highly anticipated episode has finally been announced. The show airs Sunday, August 7 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Who will attend?

In a press release from ABCbecame known that the participants will be divided into two teams.

Team Bachelor Nation consists of: Michelle Young, Nayte Olukoya, Joe Amabile, Serena Pitt and Rodney Matthews.

Team Bachelor Squad includes: Becca Kurfin, Thomas Jacobs, Kenny Braasch, Mari Pepin-Solis and Mike Johnson.

Each team consists of two sets of pairs and one singles. Team Bachelor Nation’s Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt, who met on Bachelor in Paradise, are still going strong. In fact, they recently moved in together.

At the time of filming, Michelle Young and Nayte Olukoya were still dating, but split in June 2022, just six months after getting engaged on The Bachelorette. Fans are eager to see if there are any red flags or warning signs that suggest the couple is close to calling it quits.

A Reddit user posted, “It must be tempting because this would have been filmed when Nayte and Michelle were on the rocks but have not yet publicly admitted it. I find this phase fascinating.” Another fan wrote“I can’t wait to watch and analyze their interactions knowing what we know now!”

Two strong couples compete in the Bachelor Squad team. Becca Kurfin and Thomas Jacobs are engaged and recently bought a house together. Kenny Braasch and Mari Pepin-Solis are also doing well after recently adopting a dog. Both couples met on “Bachelor in Paradise”.

Rodney Matthews and Mike Johnson both fly solo, which works perfectly as Family Feud teams traditionally consist of five members each.

According to ABC’s press release, both teams will play for charity. Team Bachelor Nation plays for first booka nonprofit organization that has “distributed more than 225 million books and educational resources to programs and schools for children from low-income communities” since 1992. Team Bachelor Squad’s charity of choice is Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

Reddit users had a blast poking fun at the promotional images for the upcoming episode. A commenter wrote“I’m having a really hard time finding words for my reaction to this picture, but while it won’t be awkward on camera, it will be awkward for us, lol.”

asked another poster“Why did Joe think posing as a rock-em-sock-em robot was a good idea?”

Referring to Mike Johnson, wrote one viewer“Omg ABC stop trying to make Mike do it.”

Another chimed in: “Wow what a time capsule. Back when Naychelle was still dating and people weren’t actively shying away from watching GSJ. And that was filmed just two months ago?” The GSJ comment refers to Joe Amabile, aka Grocery Store Joe, which angered fans a recent episode of the podcast Click Bait for defending Nick Viall and “bullying” Katie Thurston and Clayton Echard.

Fans can catch the most dramatic episode ever of “Celebrity Family Feud” on Sunday, August 7 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
