A fan-favorite couple from Bachelor in Paradise are finally ready to get married, and they’ve been having a lot of fun planning treats lately. Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour fell in love during Season 6 of spinoff series The Bachelor and Bachelorette and have been happily together ever since. Although they got engaged in their 2019 season finale, they were in no rush to actually get married. This year, however, they’ve changed gears and are now finalizing all the essential details for their wedding. They haven’t revealed everything to curious fans, but they did share some fun details that people don’t want to miss.
Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour will marry in August 2023
On January 30, Godwin and Barbour shared big news their Instagram pages. “August ’23” was the headline wed, complete with groom and bride emojis. Fans and peers of Bachelor Nation loved the update and flooded the Instagram post with congratulatory messages.
“Yayyy!!! I’m very happy for you both.” wrote Hannah Brown, who starred opposite Godwin on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor. Cassie Randolph, from the same season, added an “Eek!!!” along with three red heart emojis.
“Alexa, play Lizzo’s Damn Time.” quipped another commenter.
More recently, Godwin answered some fan questions about a series of Instagram storiesAnd “The Bachelor” Reddit sub buzzed about a specific question. The Bachelor in Paradise star teased that her wedding would be in one of four locations: Italy, San Diego, Mexico or France. Godwin and Barbour already live in San Diego, and some fans noted that the couple had been scouting wedding venues in both Italy and France. Italy won Godwin’s poll, followed by San Diego. However, some Redditors shared their guess that the wedding will take place in France.
“I think France. All others are expected. For no other reason would they put France there.” suggested a poster.
The ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ stars are busy pinning down details
A video the couple shared on YouTube provided a few extra goodies. They admitted they now had a date and venue, but admitted they hadn’t planned anything else just yet. The Bachelor in Paradise stars noted they wanted to keep the wedding “pretty intimate” and envisioned their guest list would be around 120 people. Godwin and Barbour announced that the wedding would not be taking place in the United States, and they also admitted that they had previously decided on a place to look forward to, but really weren’t. The venue for their marriage is one suggested early on by their wedding planners, but Godwin and Barbour scrapped the idea until recently when they thought they had discovered it themselves.
On February 13, Godwin shared a glimpse of a wedding dress shopping spree. The caption of her Instagram post teased that she was “playing dress up,” and she revealed a few dresses she tried on while shopping. It seems likely she didn’t pick either of them, but Bachelor Nation loved her. The first dress Godwin shared seemed to be a favorite by far, so many “Bachelor” fans will be left wondering what she ended up choosing if she finds something she loves even more.
“Okay, but the first one is a dream.” commented former “Bachelor” star Madison Prewett.
“Wow, this is the wedding content we’ve been waiting for.” read another comment.
