The Montgomery Zoo is once again hosting Ballet and the Beasts.
The one-night performance will take place on Friday, September 29th. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and performances begin at 6:30 p.m
In collaboration with Troy University, Alabama State University and the Montgomery Symphony, Montgomery Ballet’s Ballet and the Beasts will present a five-part performance, with Montgomery Ballet opening Carnival of the animals And Animals of classical ballet.
This will be followed by two performances with the dance groups of Troy University and Alabama State University as well as performances by a quartet from the Montgomery Symphony.
Montgomery Zoo officials say the performances are fun for all ages, boys and girls. Admission is free and picnic blankets, lawn chairs and coolers are welcome.
A bleacher area will be available for additional seating. Select concessions are available for purchase.
Prior to the performance, the Montgomery Zoo Education Department will host a live animal presentation with various animal education ambassadors.
The Montgomery Zoo also accepts shelf-stable and preserved food donations for the Heart of Alabama Food Bank.
