Barcelona have reportedly agreed personal terms with Leeds United superstar Raphinha, with the Brazil international one step close to joining the La Liga giants.
According to sportsAn agreement has been reached between the winger and Barcelona, with both parties hoping that reaching a compromise on personal terms could see Leeds open transfer talks with the Catalan side.
According to the report, Jesse Marsch’s side have already turned down a €35m offer from Barcelona, with Leeds hoping to get at least £50m back for the 25-year-old attacker, a fee Xavi Hernandez wants to reduce through incentives or at all a player swap.
With Barcelona and Raphinha now agreeing personal terms, Leeds will be under pressure to secure a sold transfer fee for the former Ligue 1 attacker, with the Brazilian enjoying an electrifying season with the Los Blancos in the Premier League.
The winger has nine goals and three assists in the top flight and was a big reason Leeds are relatively safe from the relegation battle as Raphinha provided some big games for the Yorkshire side.
However, it now looks more likely than ever that Raphinha will join Catalonia as Barcelona agree personal terms with the striker and are now pressuring Leeds to finalize a deal with the Camp Nou side in the coming weeks.
Leeds should stand firm with a £50m valuation for Barcelona target Raphinha
Raphinha, who is leaving Leeds, has slowly become embroiled in a question of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’ but if the Brazilian is to leave Elland Road, Marsch and the company will need to ensure they receive a fee equal to the rating for the goal of Barcelona.
After all, Raphinha has been one of the most entertaining players in the Premier League this season and his form and performances for Leeds more than justify the £50m they want from Barcelona for the 25-year-old sensation who could be a superstar at La League.
