BBC pundits in awe of ‘useful’ Everton star Lampard won’t play

Leanne Crichton and Craig Levein continued to praise Nathan Patterson BBC sports sound after the rarely seen Everton ace was delighted as Scotland took on Poland in a friendly on Thursday night.

But despite Lampard refusing to play Patterson while Seamus Coleman remained the firm first choice at Goodison Park, the Everton ace thrilled Crichton and Levein for Scotland on Thursday night as Clarke performed the Gers product for the first 67 minutes at home against Poland .

Levein couldn’t get enough of what Patterson provided the Tartan Army against Bialo-czerwoni’s left channel. Former Scotland boss called:

“Patterson beat his opponent, we just have to keep giving him the ball. He had two shots, a few crosses and was very effective.

“His attacking skills are probably the best part of his game. In a full-back game where you’re trying to attack down the flanks, he’s very, very useful.”

Former Scotland international Crichton was also enthusiastic about Patterson’s offer.

“Excellent,” she called. “He picks up the ball in the offensive half, he’s so composed, so direct, carries the ball with so much speed.
