Bears and villains abound in the latest Street Fighter 6 trailer

News

Badasses from all over the world.

The rumble you hear is the sound of Street Fighter 6 fast approaching release. Sony brought the goods to State of Play in February 2023 with a brand new trailer for the fighter, this time featuring three unique characters in action. We’re happy to announce that there are tons of bears and baddies in the latest Street Fighter 6 trailer.

Zangief, everyone’s favorite Russian daddy – I mean bear – I mean wrestler is back. His grapples and wrestling moves look absolutely stunning with the game’s new graphics engine. The trailer gives us a glimpse of his Level 2 and 3 Super Arts, the Cyclone Lariat and Bolshoi Storm Buster respectively, complete with his beloved goofy nature. Welcome back Zaddy.

Meanwhile, the trailer also gave us a look at newcomer Lily, who represents the Thunderfoot tribe from which series celebrity T. Hawk hails. Lily brings two warclubs into battle, complete with some sinuous moves that make for a display of attacks that’s equal parts dizzying and adorable. Fans of the series will be delighted to see their exciting Breezing Hawk and Raging Typhoon Super Arts moves. Eagle-eyed fans might even notice that the Raging Typhoon is very similar to T. Hawk’s own style.

Last but not least, the State of Play trailer showed Cammy originating from the series and being certified as a villain. Cammy fans like Academy Award nominee Jamie Lee Curtis will be happy to know that much of Cammy’s moveset remains – but beefed up appropriately for the stunning new titles. Her Killer Bee Spin and Delta Red Assault Super Arts moves underscore her penchant for being as beautiful as she is deadly.

With the official reveal of Zangief, Lily and Cammy, the roster of 18 characters that will be available at launch is now complete. We look forward to seeing who will join the fight post-launch, but this is quite a diverse and vibrant cast, bringing familiar and fresh ideas like the new World Tour mode that are sure to get your heart pumping become of battle.

We hope you’re as excited as we are to get your hands on Street Fighter 6 when it releases on June 2nd, 2023 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Stay tuned to Twinfinite for more Street Fighter 6 news and updates.
