Ben and Erin Napier enjoyed a parents’ evening. The HGTV stars documented their double date to see the Titanic re-release on Instagram.

The couple shared a booth and dined at their local Corn Dog 7 before watching their feature film, Erin revealed in a Feb. 10, 2023 post. In the caption, she recounted a conversation she had with her oldest daughter, Helen.

After hearing about the couple’s Titanic plans, Erin quoted her five-year-old’s response: “Oh! A hot date.”

She then explained that the couple got corn dogs. In her post, Helen said, “People will think you’re getting married.”

The couple is actually married. They celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary in November 2022. Together they have daughters Helen (5) and Mae (1). The Napiers rose to fame by renovating homes around their “hometown” community of Laurel, Mississippi.

In her Instagram post, Erin added the hashtag “#ihopejackmakesitthistime.” Jack, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, is the film’s hapless lead man. The character freezes to death in the ocean while his love interest, Kate Winslet’s rose, survives by floating on a door frame.

Jack’s death has remained a hot topic for Titanic fans since its release in 1997. As Deadline reported last year, a remastered 3D version of the film was released to commemorate the film’s 25th anniversary. It hit theaters just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Erin later shared an update on her Instagram story. She wrote, “Update: It was great.”

The 37 year old revealed in her Instagram story They were joined by friends Aly and Jordan Smith. After seeing the film, Erin and Aly belted out the Titanic theme song, Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.”

Erin quipped on her Instagram story, “We’re very talented.”

Erin Napier has announced her third book

The Napiers’ date night comes just days after Erin announced her third book. Heirloom Rooms: Soulful Stories of Home will be released on October 3, 2023, she announced on Instagram.

Erin explained in her post that she was “bored” with perfectly styled homes and wrote a collection of essays to tell the lived-in stories of her home.

“I wanted to write essays about our own homes, where each room is a separate chapter about a specific time in our lives together, and I invited friends and designers to contribute, photograph their unstaged and inhabited spaces themselves and theirs Sharing stories that makes it hers and no one else’s,” the mother-of-two wrote on Instagram.

Her contributors include Fixer to Fabulous star Jenny Marrs and Property Brothers star Drew Scott, as she revealed on her Instagram story.

The Napiers released their first book, Make Something Good Today, in 2018. In 2022 she published her first children’s book The Lantern House.

“I hope you find the stories and photos beautiful because they are relatable and inspire you to redefine the way you think about your own home,” Erin wrote on Instagram.

The Napiers hired Dave & Jenny Marrs for the second season of Home Town Takeover.

Jenny and Erin get back together. The Napiers hired Jenny and Dave Marrs to give Fort Morgan, Colorado “an epic whole town makeover,” in Season 2 of Home Town Takeover, HGTV announced in a press release.

The couples “will join forces to mobilize and inspire more HGTV expert stars and residents to tackle home renovation projects, local businesses and community spaces, amplifying the city’s charm and building community pride,” the press release reads.

The six-episode season is set to premiere earlier this year, the network announced.
