Ben Foster has admitted he enjoyed playing at Villa Park after his Watford side beat Aston Villa over the weekend.
The Watford keeper praised Villa Park ‘roaring’ and added that the atmosphere was ‘unbelievable’, as he told his Cycling GK YouTube channel.
Roy Hodgson’s side, who are yet to win a game since being appointed or score a goal, rocked the West Midlands and took all three points.
In fact, it was a lackluster and pretty average performance by both sides, but Emmanuel Dennis was the difference maker of the day.
Foster shared insight into what it feels like to be a professional footballer during the build-up and after the games.
And here’s what he has to say about Villa Park:
“I have to say I love playing at this stadium,” said Foster. “The atmosphere is amazing.
“There is something about playing in these old school stadiums. Roaring sound. Absolutely everything. ”
It has been mixed times for Steven Gerrard since he replaced Dean Smith in attack.
Things started going wrong late at night, but that’s why he was brought out in the first place.
There have been some changes to the squad during the January transfer window.
And, coming summer, it wouldn’t be surprising if more players headed for the exit doors as some of them failed to display the standard in line with the club’s ambitions.
