Rotom is one of the few Pokémon that can transform into multiple types using one item. For example, it can transform into Rotom Wash, an Electric/Water-type Pokémon, or Rotom Heat, an Electric/Fire-type Pokémon. But do different rotom forms justify a different nature? Rotom’s stats don’t change with his forms, only with his typing. And for all five Rotom forms, the best nature is shy. Rotom has high Attack, Defense and Defense Sp. However, his HP is miserable. Decreasing its speed is not an option as it cannot tank every hit. Therefore, a nature that can lower its other lower stat (Attack) is the only option.

How to choose the best nature in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
The best nature for each Pokemon varies by species. With Rotom, we had to take into account that the species has two low stats and three fairly high stats.
But most Pokemon will very likely have a really good stat that you want to boost and a very low stat that you want to sacrifice. If you can’t choose an option, you can also opt for a neutral nature, which neither promotes nor reduces the growth of a certain status.
