Biden admits Trump is ‘maybe the FUTURE President’: Democrat crowd boos

President Biden called Donald Trump “maybe the future president” to a disapproving crowd in Philadelphia, where he discussed his newly released $6.8 trillion budget.
“I had a big argument with the former president and maybe the future president. bless me father Anyway — kidding aside,” Biden said, recalling his time on the campaign trail when the crowd at a union hall booed.
While many GOP heavyweights have called for the party to “move on” following Trump’s legal investigation, a lackluster showing in the midterms and his laser focus on his allegations of voter fraud in 2020 – it seems his star power may be returning .
Four polls in the past week showed Trump taking the lead in a hypothetical matchup between himself and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has yet to declare himself president.

And with the general election still over a year and a half away, early polls show a close race if Trump and Biden find themselves in a rematch — a Washington Post/ABC News February poll showed Trump was among registered voters aged 48 to 45 percent leads .
Biden has also not officially declared his 2024 campaign, but continues to say he will. His only declared main opponent of the brand is the self-help author Marianne Williamson.
The president was in Philadelphia to discuss his $6.8 trillion budget — which includes $5.5 trillion in new taxes mostly targeting the wealthy.
“My budget reflects what we can do to ease the burden on hard-working Americans,” Biden said.
His budget is dead when he arrives in Congress, but serves to establish Democrat priorities as a starting point for negotiations with Republicans.
The President repeatedly lashed out at “MAGA Republicans” in his speech, framing Trump as the party’s de facto leader with the slogan he coined.
“MAGA Republicans are calling for the defunding of police departments and the defunding of the FBI now. That’s good, I like that.’
Some right-wing Republicans have called for defunding the FBI after accusing it of targeting conservatives and turning a blind eye to Hunter Biden’s wrongdoing.
“It’s not your father’s Republican party, like I said. MAGA Republicans threaten to default on national debt.’

Nearly an hour into his budgetary remarks, he reiterated: “I’m going on too long and I apologize. Let me say that again: MAGA Republicans are threatening a default for the first time in history.’
Biden and GOP spokesman Kevin McCarthy must work out a budget agreement and deal to increase the nation’s credit limit to more than $31.4 trillion before a June deadline.
The pair have met once but agreed to speak again to discuss details. On Wednesday, McCarthy slammed Biden for not yet inviting him back to the White House. On Thursday, Biden said he will invite the speaker to go “line by line” and see where they can come to some agreement once the GOP budget runs out.
“I want to make it clear that I am always ready to speak to the speaker tomorrow if he has his budget. Put it down, tell me what you want to do.’
