President Joe Biden is laughing at criticism over his decision to greet Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) with a handshake.

On Friday, reporters had the opportunity to ask questions of the president during his trip to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

She asked, “Also, how can you be sure another incident, another murder like that of Jamal Khashoggi won’t happen again?”

When Goodin noticed criticism of his decision to punch MBS, Biden burst into laughter.

“God loves you. What a silly question,” he replied.

He added, “How can I be sure of that? I’m just making it clear that, if anything like that happens again, they’ll get that feedback and more. “

Biden’s trip to Saudi Arabia is seen as part of an effort to correct his tough words about the country during the presidential campaign when he vowed to turn the country into a “pariah.” .

One official told NBC News of the trip, “Even when the president realized the strategic importance of going to meet Saudi Arabia, he hesitated.”
