With Twitch now over 10 years old, records on the platform have been broken and broken again. In the very competitive streaming world, records are being set for longest streams, subnets, and even most subscriptions or views on Twitch – so we’ve rounded up the records. most impressive record in the history of the platform.
As the live stream audience grows, the live streamers always have a war for viewers’ attention. Established streamers battle to keep their viewer bases, as newcomers battle for their share. Along the way, records were set for various milestones.
You can check Twitch viewership record here, as well as the highest viewership on YouTube. However, while peak viewership is just the most common measure of popularity on Twitch, there are plenty of other records and milestones that streamers strive for.
Most Subscribed on Twitch
The current record for the highest number of subs on Twitch is held by Ludwig, with 283,066 subscribers.
As well as viewers and followers, subscribers is another way to measure a streamer’s popularity. Unlike followers, however, subscriber count can tell us how popular that streamer is at a given time, as it can increase or decrease monthly.
Over the years, a lot of live streamers have broken records for the most subscribers at the same time. Famously, Ninja set a record with 269,000 in April 2018, but that has since been beaten. Ludwig currently holds the record, after his sub-competition in 2021.

Another record that streamers have begun to hunt is popularity’subathon‘. Made famous by Ludwig, whose spin-off helped him break subscriber records, plenty of other streamers have made their own versions. But, it’s not just the number of subscribers you can accumulate, focus instead on how long the sub-competition lasts.
Ludwig limits his stream to 30 days, but others have been less cautious. In September 2021, PandaTV streamed 840 hours straight, setting a new record. This was later eclipsed by PappiEric, with a 45-day subathon. In September, Athena streamed over 1000 hours straight for her spin-off, up to 47 days.
In November 2021, streamer CruelRice completed a 38-day sub-competition that put her above both Ludwig and PandaTV.
Now, the record is now a huge number 76 days, completed by streamer The ghost in the machine. Airing from August 5 to October 20, the broadcast holds the current record for longest sub stream.

The longest stream on Twitch
These substreams may seem long, but they are nothing compared to the longest stream on Twitch. So what is the longest stream on Twitch ever by a streamer?
This record was originally set by Los Pollos TV, April 2020, with 161 hours of live, and since then, a lot of broadcasters have tried to break it. CallMeCypher set a new record right after that, streamed for 200 hours straight, before it was terminated due to technical problems.
Now, there is a clear record holder, and it is difficult for anyone to surpass them. At the time of writing, streamer Twitch GPhustla was broadcast live, with an uninterrupted broadcast, for 465 days. This is longest solo live stream on Twitch.
If we go beyond solo streamers, the channel ‘StreamerHouse’statement has been released continuously since 2013, which of course means it holds the record overall. However, this is a group of friends and guests, not an individual streamer.
